As a graphic designer, my obligation is trying to convey to people about Rumpke's values and missions on keeping our planet to be green and clean through art and graphic.
RUMPKE RECYCLING INFOGRAPHIC
This infographic is about Rumpke recycling facility. It shows people how all recycling items to be processed and bring back to reuse.
Rumpke Rear Loader
This is the digital illustration of Rumpke rear loader which created by using Adobe Illustrator with hand sketching and drawing. It is the combination of different forms as well as shapes.
Creating Graphic Elements
At this step, you can see all of the small detailed graphics that I created for the whole infographic. They are illustrations of some machines at recycling facility such as overhead magnet, cardboard screener, scalping machine, glass breaker, and more. You can find out more at the description of the final infographic. I drew them by hand first and I used Adobe Illustrator to trace these graphics then.
Final Work
Finally, I put all of the small elements into the whole infographic. You can see the description of each step on the other side. It helps people to understand clearly when they look at it. Moreover, this infographic is a useful tool that give chance for people, who can't access the facility due to the noise and health problems, to view and perceive the process of Rumpke recycling process.
RUMPKE LANDFILL INFOGRAPHIC
This infographic is about Rumpke landfill. It shows people how all trash and waste to be processed and composed into natural gas.
Outline Rumpke Trucks
These are the digital outline illustrations of Rumpke truck. I used Adobe Illustrator to apply these hand drawings by using pen tool.
These are all graphic elements including trucks, buildings, and the whole landfill structure. These components are ready to put into the whole infographic.
Final Work
Finally, I put all of the small elements into the whole infographic. You can see the description of each step on the other side. It helps people to understand clearly when they look at it. Same as Rumpke recycling infographic, this infographic is a useful tool that give chance for people, who can't access the facility due to the noise and health problems, to view and perceive the process of Rumpke disposing and composing process.
RUMPKE MURAL ART
This section is the series drawing some of related objects that tell people about the story of Rumpke. There is a video in each that show the time lapse of the drawing process. For these wall artworks, I use marker as the main medium to draw as well as paint. All of them are completely free-hand drawing. They are recycling robot, roll-off truck, compactor, trash bin, and rear loader.
